How To Shake the Writing Ideas Out and Never be Lost Again

12 Step Program to Better Writing Habits

Running out of ideas to write is the worst nightmare for writers. Nonetheless, there's always something to write about. The problem is you must know how to go about getting to this stage in order to take advantage of it.

First, you should accept that having writer's block or lack of ideas is your fault. Like recovering from an addiction, the first step to recovery is acceptance that you have a problem. And lack of ideas is an addiction. It's an addiction as you wrongly accept that you are powerless to the feeling. But you aren't. You can overcome it.

Second, believe that your work can change the lives of others; however, you must first write to be able to do it. Writing is powerful. It can inspire us to do things we would never do by ourselves. Your work can do this. Believe it.

Third, make the decision to turn your writing over to your own knowledge and past. You are the author, and you must use your first-hand experiences. As authors, we should always write about what we know. And if we don't know it, we should research.

Fourth, make a list of what you are doing and your surroundings whenever you start feeling lost for words. Is there music? Is it a crowded place? Is a specific person around? Something could be giving you negative feedback or be getting part of your attention. You need to search and eliminate it.

Fifth, admit to someone about the nature of your problem. Be honest and talk about your lack of ideas and other shortcomings within your writings. This person can be a friend, spouse, or even a fellow writer. Whoever you choose, it doesn't necessarily matter. The process of recovery during this step is through acknowledging your problems aloud to someone who will listen.

Sixth, be willing to let go of the causes you found in step four. This can be tough, but it is also a must in order to become a better writer overall.

Seventh, accept that recovery is not a quick process and you will need to put in hard work. You need to be mentally ready. This includes following all the steps from one to six and readying yourselves for what's to come next.

Eighth, join a writers group. If you don't have one within your city, look for a community online which talks about writing and not necessarily showing your work. Being able to simply talk about writing, problems during the process, and helping others can give you ideas for your own writing.

Ninth, make amends with your past writing and accept that not all writing is meant to be perfect. You are always learning new things, and learning how to become a better writer is one of them. You should always be able to pick three works you wrote five years ago and find at least two of them in need of great changes and hold many flaws.

Tenth, always try to have maintenance on your writing, ideas, and your surroundings. Take control and don't let it control you.

Eleventh, understand that there is a purpose for everything, even if you don't see it. The world works off of energy and whether or not you are the negative or positive effect is up to you. You must work to be the positive and work towards the purpose. By this, you must know what type of writer you are. Do you work best in non-fiction? Fiction? First-person? Short stories? Essays? What about your writer's voice?

Twelfth, follow these rules at all times. This is the hardest step for many writers, especially when first starting the program.

Going through this twelve step program is a lot of work, and can take some time getting use to. However, step twelve is a great place to be.

love?let's love now...

There is a moment
A moment when somebody making joke
You not laugh~
Somebody makes you mad
You're not angry~
Somebody has been hurting by someone
You don't care~
Somebody makes you sad
You do not cry~
Somebody trying to feed you
You refuse the food~
Somebody make you happy
You do not smile~
Somebody makes you curious
You do not act~
And somebody make you sick
You do not hate~

This is when u realize
Tomorrow are the last days of your breath
Tomorrow are the last days you see your loved one
Tomorrow are the last days you will say hello to the morning sunrise
Tomorrow are the last days you will say goodbye
And you realize
Tomorrow is the last day you hold the bucket of pain
And the fact*you didn't have time*
To regret......

Blank
Speechless

Time will not be back....

So let’s loved now
Let’s love fully
Let’s love each other
Let put the best memories, in someone mind
Cause all we know

We might be death by tomorrow

people's die but the only one that remains is memory

welcome to KEDAH....

This is my state. I come from Kedah and I want to tell a bit about my beloved state.

Kedah's flag

Maps of Kedah,Malaysia
Kedah also known by its honorific, Darul Aman, or "Abode of Peace"[citation needed]) is a state of Malaysia, located in the northwestern part of Peninsular Malaysia. The state covers a total area of over 9,000 km², and it consists of the mainland and Langkawi. The mainland has a relatively flat terrain, which is used to grow rice. Langkawi is an archipelago of islands, most of which are uninhabited. Kedah was called Kadaram by ancient and medieval Tamil people and Syburi by the Siamese when it was under their influence.
To the north, Kedah borders the state of Perlis and shares an international boundary with the Songkhla and Yala provinces of Thailand. It borders the states of Perak to the south and Penang to the southwest.
The state's capital is Alor Setar and the royal seat is in Anak Bukit. Other major towns include Sungai Petani, and Kulim on the mainland, and Kuah on Langkawi.

History
Archaeological evidence found in Bujang Valley reveals that a Hindu–Buddhist kingdom ruled ancient Kedah possibly as early as 110 A.D. The discovery of temples, jetty remains, iron smelting sites, and clay brick monuments dating back to 110 A.D shows that a maritime trading route with south Indian Tamil kingdoms was already established since that time. The discoveries in Bujang Valley also made the ancient Kedah as the oldest civilisation of Southeast Asia.
Reference to ancient Kedah was first mentioned in a Tamil poem Paṭṭiappālai written at the end of 2nd century A.D. It described goods from Kadaram "heaped together in the broad streets" of Chola capital. Other than Kadaram, Kedah was known with different names at varying times in Indian literature; Kataha-Nagara (in Kaumudi Mahotsava drama), Anda-Kataha (in Agni Purana), Kataha-Dvipa (in Samarāiccakahā), and Kataha (in Kathasaritsagara). In the middle eastern literature, ancient Kedah was referred as Qilah by Ibn Khordadbeh in Kitāb al Masālik wal Mamālik, Kalah-Bar by Soleiman Siraf & Abu Zaid al Hassan in Silsilat-al-Tawarikh (travels in Asia), and Kalah by Abu-Dulaf Misa'r Ibn Muhalhil in Al-Risalah al-thaniyah. The famous Tang Dynasty Buddhist monk, Yi Jing who visited Malay archipelago between 688-695, also mentioned about a kingdom known as Ka-Cha in the northern part of Malay peninsula, which according to him was 30 days sail from Bogha (Palembang), the capital of Sribogha (Srivijaya).
According to Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa or the Kedah Annals, Kedah was founded by a Hindu king named Merong Mahawangsa. According to the text further, the Sultanate of Kedah started in year 1136 when King Phra Ong Mahawangsa converted to Islam and adopted the name Sultan Mudzafar Shah.
In the 7th and 8th centuries, Kedah was under the loose control of Srivijaya. In 1025, the city was conquered by Rajendra Chola, the Chola king from Coromandel in South India, who occupied it for some time. A second invasion was led by Virarajendra Chola of the Chola dynasty who conquered Kedah in the late 11th century. During the reign of Kulothunga Chola I Chola overlordship was established over the Sri Vijaya province Kedah in the late 11th century.
It was later under Siam, until it was conquered by the Malay sultanate of Malacca in the 15th century. In the 17th century, Kedah was attacked by the Portuguese after their conquest of Malacca, and by Aceh. In the hope that Great Britain would protect what remained of Kedah from Siam, the sultan handed over Penang and then Province Wellesley to the British at the end of the 18th century. The Siamese nevertheless invaded Kedah in 1821, and it remained under Siamese control until transferred to the British by the Anglo-Siamese Treaty of 1909.
In World War II, Kedah (along with Kelantan) was the first part of Malaya to be invaded by Japan. The Japanese returned Kedah to their Thai allies who had it renamed Syburi, but it returned to British rule after the end of the war. Kedah was a reluctant [citation needed] addition to the Federation of Malaya in 1948.
Since 1958, the hereditary Sultan of Kedah has been Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah. The Kedah Sultanate began when the 9th Kedah Maharaja Derbar Raja AD) converted to Islam and changed his name to Sultan Mudzafar Shah I. Since then there have been 27 Sultans who ruled Kedah.[citation needed] The Menteri Besar (Chief Minister) is currently Dato' Paduka Mukhriz bin Tun Dr. Mahathir, the son of former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohammad, himself from Kedah.

Allah knows

Scars have the strange power to remind us that our past is real
I believe that a trusting attitude and a patient attitude go hand in hand. You see, when you let go and learn to trust Allah, it releases joy in your life. And when you trust Allah, you're able to be more patient. Patience is not just about waiting for something... it's about how you wait, or your attitude while waiting.

When you feel all alone in this world
And there's nobody to count your tears
Just remember, no matter where you are
Allah knows
Allah knows

When you carrying a monster load
And you wonder how far you can go
With every step on that road that you take
Allah knows
Allah knows

No matter what, inside or out
There's one thing of which there's no doubt
Allah knows
Allah knows
And whatever lies in the heavens and the earth
Every star in this whole universe
Allah knows
Allah knows

When you find that special someone
Feel your whole life has barely begun
You can walk on the moon, shout it to everyone
Allah knows
Allah knows

When you gaze with love in your eyes
Catch a glimpse of paradise
And you see your child take the first breath of life
Allah knows
Allah knows

When you lose someone close to your heart
See your whole world fall apart
And you try to go on but it seems so hard
Allah knows
Allah knows

You see we all have a path to choose
Through the valleys and hills we go
With the ups and the downs, never fret never frown
Allah knows
Allah knows

Every grain of sand,
In every desert land, He knows.
Every shade of palm,
Every closed hand, He knows.
Every sparkling tear,
On every eyelash, He knows.
Every thought I have,
And every word I share, He knows.

the best english novel ever

I have read this novel repeatedly and I love this novel. It success to make me feel like I was in the novel. If I can rate this novel, I would give 5 stars. this novel is The Fault in Our Star.

For the film based on the novel, see The Fault in Our Stars (film).
The Fault in Our Stars is the sixth novel by author John Green, published in January 2012. The story is narrated by a sixteen-year-old cancer patient named Hazel Grace Lancaster, who is forced by her parents to attend a support group where she subsequently meets and falls in love with the seventeen-year-old Augustus Waters, an ex-basketball player and amputee. The title is inspired from Act 1, Scene 2 of Shakespeare's play Julius Caesar, in which the nobleman Cassius says to Brutus: "The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, / But in ourselves, that we are underlings." A feature film adaptation of the novel directed by Josh Boone and starring Shailene Woodley, Ansel Elgort and Nat Wolff was released on June 6, 2014.

Synopsis of The Fault in Our Star
The story is about Hazel Grace Lancaster, a 16-year-old teenager with thyroid cancer that has spread to her lungs, attends a cancer patients' support group at her mother's behest. During a support meeting, Hazel meets a 17-year-old teenage boy named Augustus Waters, whose osteosarcoma caused him to lose his leg. Augustus is at the meeting to support his mutual friend, Isaac, who is losing his remaining eye to cancer. The two bond immediately after the meeting and Augustus invites Hazel to his house where the two strengthen their bond over a movie and their experiences with cancer. Before departing, the two agree to read each other's favorite novels. Augustus gives Hazel The Price of Dawn, and Hazel recommends An Imperial Affliction, a novel, written by Peter Van Houten, about a cancer-stricken girl named Anna that parallels Hazel's own experience. After Augustus finishes reading her book, he is frustrated upon learning that the novel ends abruptly without a conclusion. Hazel explains the novel's mysterious author had retreated following the novel's publication and has not been heard from since.

A week later, Augustus reveals to Hazel that he has tracked down Van Houten's assistant, Lidewij, and, through her, has managed to start an e-mail correspondence with Van Houten. Hazel writes to Van Houten with questions regarding the novel's ambiguous ending and the fate of the mother of Anna. Van Houten eventually replies, explaining that he can only answer Hazel's questions in person. Hazel proposes the trip to her mother but is rejected due to financial and medical constraints. Later, at a Dutch-themed picnic, Augustus surprises Hazel with tickets to Amsterdam, attained through a charitable foundation. She is thrilled, but when he touches her face she feels hesitant for some reason. Later, she looks up Augustus's ex-girlfriend, Caroline Mathers, who died of brain cancer. On Caroline's memorial page, a comment by Caroline's friend causes Hazel to compare herself to a grenade: Hazel loves Augustus and fears hurting him when she dies.

As she struggles with her love for Augustus and her death, Hazel suffers an episode of pleural effusion and is sent to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) prompting her parents and her doctors to question the safety of overseas travel. The medical team argues against the trip until Dr. Maria, one of the physicians most familiar with her case, convinces Hazel's parents that Hazel must travel because she needs to live her life. When Hazel and Gus first get to Amsterdam, they go to a restaurant and find that Van Houten paid for their meal and champagne. Augustus then confesses his love for Hazel that night. Hazel and Augustus finally meet Van Houten but are shocked to find that, instead of a prolific genius, he is a mean-spirited drunk. Horrified by Van Houten's behavior, Lidewij confesses to having arranged the meeting on his behalf, angering Van Houten, who proceeds to insult Hazel's cancer and refuses to answer any of her questions. The two leave the author in anger and disappointment.

Accompanied by Lidewij, Hazel and Augustus visit the Anne Frank House. Hazel struggles to climb the many stairs and ladders leading up to the attic due to her lungs but by the end of the tour, Augustus and Hazel share a romantic kiss, followed by an applause from the other tourists in the attic. The next day, Augustus confesses that a recent PET scan revealed his cancer to have relapsed. Resolute, the two affirm their love and support for each other. Upon their return to Indianapolis, Augustus' health significantly worsens. Augustus ends up in the ICU for a few days. In his final days, Augustus invites Isaac and Hazel to his pre-funeral, where they give eulogies. Hazel quotes Van Houten about "larger and smaller infinities," reaffirms her love for him, and states that she would not trade their short time together for anything in the world. Augustus dies eight days later.

At the funeral, Hazel is astonished to find Van Houten in attendance. He explains that he and Augustus maintained correspondence since Amsterdam and that Augustus had demanded he make up for ruining their trip by attending his funeral. In an attempt for forgiveness, Van Houten tries to reveal the fate of Anna's mother. Hazel, still upset with his behavior, asks him to leave.

A few days later, while talking with Isaac, Hazel learns that Augustus may have been writing a sequel to An Imperial Affliction for her. As Hazel searches for the pages, she again encounters Van Houten. He confides in Hazel that his novel was a literary attempt to reconcile with the death of his daughter, Anna, who died from cancer when she was eight. Hazel tells Van Houten to sober up and write another book.

Eventually Hazel learns that Augustus sent the pages to Van Houten because he wanted Van Houten to use the pages to compose a well-written eulogy about Hazel. Lidewij forces Van Houten to read the pages and sends them to Hazel. Hazel reads Augustus's words. He says getting hurt in this world is inevitable, but we do get to choose who we allow to hurt us, and that he is happy with his choice. He hopes she likes her choice too. Hazel states she does.

A quick guide to a beginner of dslr

Manual mode really let the user to control what he wants in the photo. To focus on which subject, to let which range of light visible, which colour mood the user want to convey and so on. Many people want to use this technological wonder but are intimidated by the elaborate settings. It's not like that hard to use it. The only hard thing is getting it right and gets a beautiful picture. Know your enemy before a fight. This post is dedicated to the new users of DSLR who might still have doubts to use full manual mode. This is for you.

The key to a beautiful photo is a properly exposed photo, accurately focused, framed to tell the story that the user want to convey to viewers of the photo. Firstly, get the exposure right. The first thing is the shutter speed, which is the time duration of the shutter being opened and closed again. Camera is a visual apparatus so they are simply compared to a human eye. Shutter can be said to be like the human eyelids, but imagine your eyelids are always remain closed. Then you want to take a photo, and then you open your eyelids for duration of time, recording the picture and closing it again, simply said. The shutter speed is measured by seconds, ranging from as fast as 1/2000 seconds to as slow as a few minute. The changes in speed changes the amount of light entering your image sensor so the longer you keep it open, more light enters the light sensor. A slow shutter speed picture looks like this:

Shutter speed has a close friend aperture. The aperture is something like the pupils in your eyes, its the hole that is located in the center of the Iris or the coloured part of the human eye. Well our pupils can dilate and contract according to light conditions, making the hole smaller in bright light and bigger in twilight situations. The camera aperture does practically the same. The aperture opening size is measured in f‐stop values, for example F1.4, F2.8, and F22.0. The smaller the value, the larger the opening. The large opening means more light enters the image sensor thus we can use higher shutter speeds with a small f‐stop value. For DSLRs, the f‐stop values are mainly determined by the lens. The problem with some kit lens is it comes with a large f‐stop value and the value just gets bigger when you zoom in. This is not much of a problem for normal shooting but it makes super high shutter speed shooting a disaster. When I mean super high shutter speeds, I mean shooting conditions like capturing a photo of Wayne Rooney kicking a ball frozen in midair. That's why professional photographers would use a full‐frame image sensor (which is large!) with a fixed small f‐stop lens. Football fans would notice their white striped black telescopes from afar. Mind you, their equipment worth at least two Yamaha 135LC. Not one, TWO! A small f‐stop value also gives the effect of background blur which is probably the most attention grabbing result from a DSLR like the following photo:

There is a third party in this partnership of exposure which is the ISO. It is the measure of the sensitivity of your image sensor. For example, ISO100 and ISO12800. The larger the value, the more light your image sensor gets. Now more cameras are offering larger and larger ISOs. An accurate value offers the user a properly exposed photo. If the value is too small the picture would be dark and if it is too large the picture will look burnt white. The large value of ISO also introduces grain called picture noise, to your picture. Most new DSLRs have more advanced noise reducing image processors. That's why every DSLR has one, and full‐frame DSLRs have two of it. In low light conditions, higher ISO values help us to get more light but beware of noise.

Shooting in full manual is the most challenging as light conditions change within minutes. This really tests the user to think and act quickly for a properly exposed photo. Well, these three things are already a mind boggling task but there's more things to consider when shooting in full manual. White balance is the colour mood of the photo. The setting is specially imperative when shooting indoors where we have plain white fluorescent bulb to the yellow tungsten bulb. Setting the white balance can correct the colour mood of your photo. But I like to leave it at one setting, 5000‐6500K or the sunlight white balance and when it calls for other colour temperatures, I'll just leave it so that it captures the real colour mood for a more honest picture.

Next thing is manual focus. Leave the lever beside the lens to MF! No AF! I love the AF or auto-focus as it is a great tool to save time focusing but it is a headache when it can’t see my subject and focuses on the glass window I am sitting behind or focuses on the background instead of the subject! So while looking into the viewfinder, try to twist the focusing ring on the end of your lens to get the correct focus. A properly exposed, properly focused photo is a good photo. But it needs the judgment and the artistic perspective of a photography enthusiast to get a superb photo. Some would like a photo with art but as a travel photography enthusiast, I want to tell stories with my photos. This is where framing plays it role.

The 2 Minutes Maggi Noodles Story!!!

“Maggie taste bhi, Health bhi”
"ummm..yumm..yumm..delicious.."

How true is the above statement?

Maggi noodles is a brand of instant noodles manufactured by Nestlé. The brand is popular in Australia, India, South Africa, Brazil, New Zealand, Brunei, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Fiji and the Philippines. In several countries, it is also known as “maggi mee” (mee is Indonesian/Malay/Hokkien for noodles). Maggi noodles are part of the Maggi family, a Nestlé brand of instant soups, stocks, and noodles.

Nestlé have faced criticism over their advertising of the Maggi brand, adhering to marketing regulations in developed countries, but making misleading claims in developing countries where regulation permits it.

The advert made false claims that the nTheoodles would “help to build strong muscles, bone and hair”. The British Advertising Standards Authority said that the advert did not abide by the new EU consumer protection legislation, by which advertisers have to provide proof of health claims.
Maggi 2-minute noodles in India contains hydrolysed groundnut protein, It contains MSG (Monosodium glutamate) used as a flavor enhancer, which is made using Bactosoytone, itself made from soy protein using a catalyst enzyme porcine (taken from intestine of Pig) Hydrolysed vegetable protein can contain high levels of glutamate, but still mentions “NO ADDED MSG” on the pack..

According to the United States FDA, this practice is misleading to consumers, as hydrolysed protein leads to formation of monosodium glutamate MSG after cooking.

MSG, What is it?
Monosodium glutamate, also known as sodium glutamate or MSG, is the sodium salt of glutamic acid, one of the most abundant naturally occurring non-essential amino acids Monosodium Glutamate, better known as MSG, is a form of concentrated salt added to foods to enhance the flavor. This salt version of glutamic acid is an amino acid the body can produce on its own, but the MSG we find on store shelves is processed and comes from fermented sugar beets. Because this kind of MSG is processed, it can cause many adverse reactions, including skin rashes, itching, hives, nausea, vomiting, migraine headaches, asthma, heart irregularities, depression and even seizures
Since MSG acquired its infamous reputation for causing migraines, the food industry has given it new names and new forms, including autolyzed yeast, yeast extract, maltodextrin, hydrolyzed protein, sodium caseinate, mono-potassium glutamate, and textured protein.

What makes Maggi taste sooooo good???????
Wow, Maggi we love so much is also healthy! Or is it?? Health being a subject close to our heart we thought of doing a double check… and here’s what we found…
One serving (1 block or 100 grams) of noodles contains 1170 mg. of sodium aka salt, almost half of the USDA 2400 mg maximum.
Most of the salt would be in the seasoning packet, but the noodles probably contain some salt also.
The noodles provide 10% of your daily calcium and 12% of your daily iron requirement. Other than that the Maggi brand noodles have no nutritional benefit.
All packaged and take out or restaurant foods have added salt, so I certainly wouldn’t eat these noodles on a regular basis due to the very high salt content…..

How do you cook your Noodles?
‘CORRECT WAY OF COOKING NOODLES’

Normally, how we cook the instant noodles is to put the noodles into a pot with water, throw in the powder and let it cook for around 3/2 minutes and then it’s ready to eat.
NO, this is the WRONG method of cooking the instant noodles.
By doing this, when we actually boil the ingredients in the powder, normally with MSG, it will change the molecular structures of the MSG
causing it to be toxic.

The other thing that you may or may not realise is that, the noodles are coated with wax and it will take around 4 to 5 days for the body to excrete the wax after you have taken the noodles.
Maggi has been a true childhood buddy. It took care of our hunger pangs when we were away from our parents in a hostel or on a camp. Continuing the practice, now it is ‘the food’ kids eat without a fuss. It’s that food which our mums let us have as a substitute to other ‘outside’ food we would have otherwise eaten!

Maggi seems to be just that perfect quick-snack between meals and is so easy to make that kids sometime make it alone. What’s more it seems they now come enriched with calcium and proteins! Taste bhi! Health bhi! scream the smalls kids in the ad!

Instant noodles also have chemicals, just like other processed foods do.
Not the right thing for growing kids or their growing brains. Childrens’ stomachs are small and they take in much less food in a day than adults …if they eat a packet of Maggi it’s probably a quarter or half of their day’s intake of solid food. Imagine what you are giving them…chemicals, hydrogenated oils and wheat stripped of nutrients!

If you do have to serve Maggi to your kids, make sure it’s once in a blue moon and don’t forget to add a lot of vegetables to it.

online shopping

What is online shopping?
Online shopping or e-shopping is a form of electronic commerce which allows consumers to directly buy goods or services from a seller over the Internet using a web browser. Alternative names are: e-web-store, e-shop, e-store, Internet shop, web-shop, webstore, online store, online storefront and virtual store. Mobile commerce (or m-commerce) describes purchasing from an online retailer's mobile optimized online site or app.
An online shop evokes the physical analogy of buying products or services at a bricks-and-mortar retailer or shopping center; the process is called business-to-consumer (B2C) online shopping. In the case where a business buys from another business, the process is called business-to-business (B2B) online shopping. The largest of these online retailing corporations are Alibaba,Amazon.com,and eBay. Retail success is no longer all about physical stores. This is evident because of the increase in retailers now offering online store interfaces for consumers. With the growth of online shopping, comes a wealth of new market footprint coverage opportunities for stores that can appropriately cater to offshore market demands and service requirements.
History of online shopping
English entrepreneur Michael Aldrich invented online shopping in 1979. His system connected a modified domestic TV to a real-time transaction processing computer via a domestic telephone line. He believed that videotex, the modified domestic TV technology with a simple menu-driven human–computer interface, was a 'new, universally applicable, participative communication medium — the first since the invention of the telephone.' This enabled 'closed' corporate information systems to be opened to 'outside' correspondents not just for transaction processing but also for e-messaging and information retrieval and dissemination, later known as e-business.His definition of the new mass communications medium as 'participative' [interactive, many-to-many] was fundamentally different from the traditional definitions of mass communication and mass media and a precursor to the social networking on the Internet 25 years later.
In March 1980 he went on to launch Redifon's Office Revolution, which allowed consumers, customers, agents, distributors, suppliers and service companies to be connected on-line to the corporate systems and allow business transactions to be completed electronically in real-time.[3]
During the 1980s he designed, manufactured, sold, installed, maintained and supported many online shopping systems, using videotex technology. These systems which also provided voice response and handprint processing pre-date the Internet and the World Wide Web, the IBM PC, and Microsoft MS-DOS, and were installed mainly in the UK by large corporations.
The first World Wide Web server and browser, created by Tim Berners-Lee in 1990, opened for commercial use in 1991.Thereafter, subsequent technological innovations emerged in 1994: online banking, the opening of an online pizza shop by Pizza Hut,Netscape's SSL v2 encryption standard for secure data transfer, and Intershop's first online shopping system. The first secure retail transaction over the Web was either by NetMarket or Internet Shopping Network in 1994.Immediately after, Amazon.com launched its online shopping site in 1995 and eBay was also introduced in 1995.Alibaba's sites Taobao and Tmall were launched in 2003 and 2008, respectively.
Ways to do a payment for online shopping
Online shoppers commonly use a credit card or a PayPal account in order to make payments. However, some systems enable users to create accounts and pay by alternative means, such as:
Some online shops will not accept international credit cards. Some require both the purchaser's billing and shipping address to be in the same country as the online shop's base of operation. Other online shops allow customers from any country to send gifts anywhere.
The financial part of a transaction may be processed in real time (e.g. letting the consumer know their credit card was declined before they log off), or may be done later as part of the fulfillment process.
Advantages of online shopping
  1. Convenience-Online stores are usually available 24 hours a day, and many consumers have Internet access both at work and at home. Other establishments such as internet cafes and schools provide access as well.
  2. Price and selection-Online stores must describe products for sale with text, photos, and multimedia files. Some stores even allow customers to comment or rate their items.
  3. Information and reviews-One advantage of shopping online is being able to quickly seek out deals for items or services with many different vendors (though some local search engines do exist to help consumers locate products for sale in nearby stores).
Disadvantages of online shopping
  1. Fraud and security concerns-Given the lack of ability to inspect merchandise before purchase, consumers are at higher risk of fraud on the part of the merchant than in a physical store.
  2. Lack of full cost disclosure-The lack of full disclosure with regards to the total cost of purchase is one of the concerns of online shopping.
  3. Privacy-Privacy of personal information is a significant issue for some consumers. Different legal jurisdictions have different laws concerning consumer privacy, and different levels of enforcement.

speaking anxiety

Glossophobia or speaking anxiety is the fear of public speaking or of speaking in general. Many people only have this fear, while others may also have social phobia or social anxiety disorder.Speaking anxiety, often referred to as speech anxiety or stage fright, involves a central fear of being scrutinized or evaluated by others. This fear is often accompanied by a variety of physical and emotional reactions that can significantly interfere with a person's ability to successfully give a speech or presentation, including intense feelings of anxiety, worry, nervousness, trembling or shaking, sweating, and/or dizziness.

The reasons why people have the horrid anxiety of what the audience will do to us:
  • Talk behind our backs
  • Laugh at us.
  • Throw things at us.
  • Or worse, be our superiors viewing our incompetence laid bare.
  • Tell our superiors we are incompetent.
  • Get bored and dismiss us.
  • Hoot and shriek with laughter and derision (oh, yes, some people fear this and you would be amazed how highly accomplished and placed they are).
Top Ten Ways to Reduce Speaking Anxiety

1. Remember, you are not alone. Public speaking anxiety is common, so don’t ignore it—confront it.
2. You can’t literally “die of embarrassment.” Audiences are forgiving and understanding.
3. It always feels worse than it looks.
4. Take deep breaths. It releases endorphins, which naturally fight the adrenaline that causes anxiety.
5. Look the part. Dress professionally to enhance confidence.
6. Channel your nervousness into positive energy and motivation.
7. Start your outline and research early. Better information = higher confidence.
8. Practice and get feedback from a trusted source. (Don’t just practice for your cat.)
9. Visualize success through positive thinking.
10. Prepare, prepare, prepare! Practice is a speaker’s best friend.

Thought Patterns and Ways to Change
Examples of problematic thought patterns and ideas for changing these patterns are listed below:

Problematic Thought Patterns and Ways to Change Thought Pattern
 Definition
 Example
 Idea for Change
 All or Nothing Thinking
When things are seen in black and white terms.
If your presentation falls short of perfect, you see yourself and the presentation as a total failure.
Try to remember that no "perfect" presentation really exists.  Instead, concentrate on what you did well.  Be careful not to criticize yourself too harshly.
 Over generalization
When a single negative event is seen as a never-ending pattern of failure.
After giving one speech that was not successful, you assume any other speech you give in the future will also be unsuccessful.
Remind yourself that a single unsuccessful speech does not automatically mean future speeches will be unsuccessful.
 Jumping to Conclusions
When a negative conclusion about an event is reached without facts to support this conclusion.
You conclude that you failed your speech, although you ended up getting a B-.
Take a "wait and see" approach before assuming the worst.
 Fortune Telling
The tendency to anticipate that things will turn out badly, no matter how much practice or rehearsal is done.
You conclude a week before your speech that you will "bomb", despite the fact that you have practiced the speech in front of others numerous times.
Try not to underestimate the effectiveness of daily rehearsal and practice.
